Frequently asked questions
I hope any questions you would like to ask are answered here, if there is something not answered don't hesitate to get in touch.
What kind of photographs do I need to provide?
Paintings/ drawings are done from photographs. These need to be of a high enough resolution to enable sufficient detail. It also helps to provide at least 3 photographs to work from. They are best at eye level with your dog/cat/animal and in daylight.
We can discuss which image would be best to use when these have been received.
What background will my commission have?
Most paintings are done on a vintage music background to match the subject. If you would like this option from my vintage music collection then please provide some words/ information about your subject.
Specific pieces of music or those still in copyright may require an additional charge. The music chosen either by yourself or from a selection I suggest will have meaning. It will not be a random piece of music but one that matches the subject and the emotions.
A plain background on canvas or linen can also be provided. If you require a more detailed background then there may be an additional charge dependant on the work involved.
How will I display my painting?
A canvas can can easily be mounted on the wall with either a wire added across the back or hung as they are. Frames can also be purchased (Floating frames)

A painting on a wooden panel will require a frame in order to be hung on the wall but those that are A4 in size can easily be framed in a ready made frame available in many stores. Of course you may also prefer to use a framing service who can advise you of the best way to display your unique piece of art.
