Do you want to celebrate your animals and put your pets in the spotlight?

Your pets large and small are all incredible members of your family. They are much loved and you spend time daily with them. They have a short time in our lives but forever in our hearts and minds.

I can help you connect to the memories you have and help preserve that sense of love that you get from them, and happiness in the moments that you have shared.

Here are my top reasons to commission a pet portrait.

  1. They are of course our special companions and as such contribute massively to our mental health and well being. They give us companionship and each one we have , we build a lasting relationship with. What better way to celebrate them and remember these moments by than with a painting.

  2. A painting has far more impact than just a photo. As an artist I can compose an artwork that combines pets that have never met. A faded photo from the past is difficult for me to work with but I will do everything I can to restore that photo into a painting with greater detail and produce a memorial painting for you. A memorial painting can also help the sense of loss and give comfort and joy. Sometimes I know this is also tinged with sadness but it helps to remember them in a way they deserve. A current pet can be immortalised in their prime or the phase of life you most remember them most in.

  3. A painting is a lasting way to remember these honored family members. A valued pet in a painting communcates their importance and value in your life. Whether its a Best in Show moment, a playful moment in the park or snuggles on the sofa these memories are special.

  4. A painting lasts a lifetime and beyond. Produced with quality and archival paints your painting will have a lasting place on your wall.

  5. Your painting will be unique . This talking point or will have a far better look than one of the many generic prints you can buy on the high street. Whether you select a more traditional background or a vintage music background no one else will have a similar painting.

  6. They make a great gift ! Have you a special event coming up or someone special in your life? A painting can make a great gift and shows how much you understand the relationship someone has with their animals. If you dont want to make a decision yourself then a Gift certificate can be a great way to show how much you care but leave the commission journey for them to be a part of .

  7. Your pet will be painted by someone who truly loves their subject ; from soft fur to shiny eyes and cute noses! As an animal owner myself I understand how they move, the underlying muscles and conformation but I also understand how each animals character can be so different and often conveyed through the eyes.
